Waterloo Region Nordic will hold its second club-level race of the season on February 23, 2025. All children and youth who are registered in WRNSC programs are entered into this race.
Our younger members, the Bunnyrabbit and Jackrabbits, together with a few Special Olympics skiers, will race around 11:40am. For the Bunnies and Jackrabbits, this is after their normal instructional program. The race will be in Individual Start format; technique is FREE. Trails around the golf course club house, including the Bunny Bowl, Jackrabbit Lane, Otter Slide and Deer Climb will be closed to the general public from 11:30am until 12:15pm.
Our youth and high-school-aged skiers will be racing in the afternoon. This will be a sprint race, using FREE technique. The race will start around 2:40pm. Trails around the golf course club house, including Jackrabbit Lane, Woo Hoo and The Grind will be closed to the general public, from 2:30pm until 3:15 pm.
If you wish to ski at Rockway on Sunday, the remainder of our trails will remain open to the general public except as noted above. You may also wish to visit us, watch the racing and cheer the skiers on. As always, please do not walk on the groomed trails!
We hope to see many of you on Sunday – there is a lot of snow out there.
