All participants in youth programs must be General Members.
Waterloo Region welcomes skiers who have physical disabilities. We are prepared to provide instruction to skiers of all ages and skill levels, from Bunnies to racers, and we also have experience working both with sit-skiers and with ambulatory Para-Nordic skiers.
Where feasible, we integrate Para-Nordic skiers into able-bodied classes that are at the same level of development. Where this is not feasible (for example with sit-skiers) we work out instruction times that work for everyone.
On-snow instruction is provided from the beginning of January until the end of February, provided snow conditions are adequate. We provide dry-land training opportunities during the fall, for Para-Nordic racers.
