The Waterloo Region Nordic Sports Club is a not-for-profit corporation providing programs and opportunities for youth and adults to learn and enjoy cross country skiing.

Located in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo in Southwestern Ontario, we serve the communities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. Members have also come from surrounding municipalities, including Brantford, Woodstock and Guelph. During the fall, we provide dryland training for adults and youth at various locations in Waterloo, including Bechtel Park and Waterloo Park. From January to March, we provide on-snow training and instructions for youth and adults at Rockway Golf Course.

Our club also participates in races and loppets (a mass participation event for all ages) in Ontario. We also organize ski trips and tours for all members.

The WRNSC is a member of Nordiq Canada and receives support from the City of Kitchener, and the City of Waterloo. WRNSC has been awarded a New Horizons for Seniors grant for the 2022-2023 season. This will help us deliver better programs for our members. WRNSC also wishes to acknowledge a recent Trillium grant that helped us move our base of operation to Rockway Golf Course.

The WRNSC is a not-for-profit sport organization that relies on volunteers to organize and operate activities and programs.

The WRNSC is run by an elected Board of Directors in accordance with club Bylaws. Members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting to review club finances, have their voices heard, and vote (or run) for the Board of Directors. Minutes from the Annual General Meeting, as well as recent meetings of the board, are made available for transparency.
