Registration is open for the 2020-2021 season.
If you have skied with us before – welcome back for another fun year.
Cross Country skiing is a sport for life, and Waterloo Region offers groomed ski trails as well as programs for people of almost all ages, and all abilities. And the best part is – our trails are at the Rockway Golf Club, minutes from downtown Kitchener, minutes from the Courtland exit from the Conestoga Parkway and close to public transport. Our new trail system provides an amazing local cross country ski experience. With trails groomed for skate skiing and tracks set for classic, you will be able to enjoy many great ski moments close to home. The WRNSC community of instructors, grandparents, beginners, teen racers, little skiers, volunteers, etc is an active and genuine group. Come join the fun this winter!
We offer instruction programs for children and youth. All of these programs include on-snow sessions; most also involve ‘dry-land’ sessions that are held during the fall.
We also offer a range of programs for our adult members, including adult dry-land training which starts in October. If you want to get physically-ready for ski season, join us for adult dry-land training. All you need is a general membership; there is no additional cost for the program.
Starting at the beginning of January we will offer adult instruction for both classic technique (Tuesday evenings) and skate technique (Wednesday evenings). Whether you are an absolute beginner or wish to improve your technique we have a place for you.
We also have an adult ski touring group that visits ski resorts in snowier areas of the province a few times each season. And we offer group skiing during daylight hours several times a week during for as long as we have snow. We would love to have you ski with us this year.
