If you have always wanted to try Cross Country Skiing as a family sport, but you do not own ski equipment, please consider joining our Introduction-to-skiing sessions this weekend. Cross country skiing is a sport for life; our youngest club member is 3 years of age, and our oldest member is 80. The feeling of gliding through snowy trails is something that all skiers treasure.
Ski conditions in the Waterloo Region are amazingly good this year, and our trails at Rockway are groomed both for classic skiing and for skate skiing. If you register for an Introduction-to-skiing session, we will fit you with classic ski equipment, provide you with a ski lesson, and help you ski around sections of our trails.
We are offering sessions at 9:30am and 11:30am on Saturday, February 15. We charge $25 per adult and $10 per child for each session. We are encouraging families to take advantage of this offer, but we are also happy to work with adults without children, and with children without adult skiers.
If you are interested in learning to ski with us, please send an email to Ken Campbell (kccampbell@golden.net) to let us know:
a) Which session you prefer
b) Your name and shoe size (if you are an adult or teen)
c) Your name, age and shoe size if you are a child or youth.
Based on your information, we will confirm whether we have equipment for you on the session you prefer.
Come ski with us, and discover how to make winter FUN.
