COVID Lockdown Information

The detailed regulations associated with the COVID lockdown were updated today. In accordance with these regulations, we can no longer offer any of our programs while Waterloo Region is in lockdown.

This means that all our youth and adult instruction programs are paused until at least January 23. No one knows what will happen in late January, but we remain hopeful that we can resume operations then.

The good news is that we are permitted to prepare and groom our trails at Rockway, and under the regulation we are all permitted to enjoy casual, drop-in skiing, while observing proper distancing. Skiers can check trail conditions here: TRAIL CONDITIONS. If you choose to enjoy the trails during the evening you will also discover that we have installed a few solar/LED lights at strategic locations. We are studying how these lights impact our operations. If results are positive, we hope to expand the lighting at Rockway over the next few years.

We share your disappointment, but we look forward to seeing you ski at Rockway on a drop-in basis, at least until we are allowed to resume full operations. Our standard refund policy is posted here: REFUND POLICY.  Because of the current COVID lockdown the Board has agreed to refund 100% of program costs for a skier who requests a refund, provided that his or her program has not yet started, and provided that the request is submitted by email to kccampbell@golden.net prior to December 25, 2020. For clarity, Track Attack Junior and Senior programs started with the dry-land season. A refund request that is received on or after December 25 will be handled in accordance with our standard refund policy.

If you have questions, please contact Ken Campbell, at kccampbell@golden.net.
