Renovated the network this morning and reset track in about 50% of the woodland trail, but the snow was too shallow in most of the field loop as it is drifting in the high winds. The field loop has one exposed hill by the soccer complex. Enjoy a ski before Sunday …
Conditions: fair Base: under 5 cm
The trail network was renovated and new tracks were put in. The base is firming up nicely for skating. The tracks however are a bit shallow and limited due to snow depth. The back hill continues have some exposed gravel at its top.
Conditions: fair-good Base: under 5 cm
The trails were all packed this morning and track set on about 80% of the woodland trail and 50% of the field loop. The base fairly thin, especially on the back hill. Some drifting is likely this afternoon as winds pick up. Enjoy the ski!!
Conditions: good Base: under 5 cm
Trails Tuesday AM
We are back in business. Managed to pack all the sections by noon. There are still some bare spots on the back hill and in the field so don’t wear those new skis yet. The woods is icy in sections covered with a thin layer of snow so be cautious. Sections are sure to drift in this afternoon so I’ll be sure to get again tomorrow early to repack.
The King’s Court Sprints, scheduled for Sunday January 17th, have been cancelled due to deteriorating field conditions.
Our next meet will be the Cookie Race on February 7.

Youth Lessons have been cancelled this weekend because of warm temperatures, forecasted rain and low snow levels at Bechtel Park.
Youth programs started on Sunday, January 3 and will continue until Wednesday, February 24, snow and weather permitting. Lights will be on at Bechtel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, for night skiing, from 6 pm to 9:30 pm.
If you like the lights and the trails, but are not a member – please consider joining the club.
I groomed the field loop for skating and rolled the trail in the woods. We’ll need a bit more snow before we groom in the woods and put in a classic track. Conditions are suitable for rock skiing, but there’s lots of fun to be had!
